Events (Classes, Courses, & Events)

Events are one-off activities (single or repeating) that are generally held for multiple people. Camp trips and classes are both types of Events, as well as theaters selling tickets to certain shows. Stores that hold certain classes for their Customers may also run Events.

Events-based businesses create Events at certain times that Customers can book and/or purchase tickets for. A theater selling tickets for a ballet performance, or a garden providing gardening classes for its patrons are both Events-based businesses. Classes, Courses, and Events all fall into Businesses of this category.

To toggle Events or Courses for your Business on and off; From the Dashboard, click the Cog/Settings icon

Click Dept Settings.

Click Business.

Select or deselect the desired options and click Save. You may also toggle Classes and Courses on and off, which are similar to Events but can repeat according to certain variables.

To edit Event or Course settings for your Business; From the Dashboard, click the Cog/Settings icon

Click Dept Settings

Click Events.

You can set options for Event, Course, and Class Waiting Lists, create different Ticket Groups, Membership Types, and set Attendance options from this menu. Adjusting some of these Events settings will require an additional charge to your account. 

It is important to understand what type of Business you plan to create in JRNI, and how your Bookings will be made. Is your Business Events-based, providing different Services, or providing Rentals? Are you running an escape-room, or are you a personal trainer providing individual sessions? Knowing the answers to these questions will be integral in configuring your Business properly, and when complete will allow you and your Customers to make Bookings and schedule availability automatically and with ease.
