Business Settings are an integral part of your BookingBug account, and will determine how BookingBug manages your Resources, availability, and pricing for your Business. It is important to manage these Settings carefully, as adjusting the way you do Business will affect Settings already created in BookingBug.
From the Dashboard, click the Cog/Settings icon.
Click Dept Settings.
Click the Checkboxes to the left of each Setting to toggle on / off.
The Classes and Courses Setting creates Classes and Courses that your Customers will attend over a single day or multiple dates. If your Business is teaching classes, holding seminars, or providing certifications for a profession, this setting should be toggled on. If this is not how your Business plans to operate, toggle this Setting off.
The Events Setting creates Events that occur on a single date or dates, or repeat according to a set time interval. Create Events to hold meetings with a certain attendance limit, organize ticketed events, and more. If this is not how your Business plans to operate, toggle this Setting off.
The Time-Based Services Setting creates Services that can be booked by the minute, hour, day, or week. Salon visits, massages, and consultations are all Service-based businesses. If this is not how your Business plans to operate, toggle this Setting off.
The Resource Setting creates physical items that are required to manage your Business. This Resource can be a room in a hotel, or a bicycle that is rented out from a bicycle shop. Resources can be used to determine the availability of Services you provide, or be offered to your Customers as items that they may pay to use or rent. Use Resources if your Staff requires an office or physical item to perform their Service, or if your Business is renting out time at a physical place. If this is not how your Business plans to operate, toggle this Setting off.
The People/Staff Setting allows the choice between having Multiple Staff or just a single staff member. Choose Multiple Staff if your business provides services such as a salon or pet grooming with Multiple Staff providing the same or different services. Select Just Me if your business has a single staff member providing one or multiple services such as music lessons or studio rental. Leaving this option unchecked will have the same effect as selecting Just Me. It is recommended if you have one Staff to select Multiple Staff and create a single staff member as some options will only be available if Multiple Staff is toggled on.
The Manage address or locations Setting allows the choice to create multiple locations for your business. If you are renting out Villas, or you have Events and Classes that take place in multiple locations, choose this option. If this is not how your Business plans to operate, toggle this Setting off.
Click Save to confirm changes.
